CAROLE DOROTHY MCELHERAN

With broken hearts we share the passing of Carole Dorothy McElheran, beloved wife of the late David McElheran, who passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, in her little house with her family by her side. Mom asked that we make this short.

Mom is lovingly missed by her children: Kenneth, Rubi, Catherine, Allan, her grandchildren who she was so proud of: Hannah, Tyler, David, Rachel, Ava, Scott, Sabrina, and Charlotte, as well as her family: Mel, Al, Dawn, Dallas and Colleen.

Mom was a member of Eastern Star for 60 years where she had many dear friends she cherished. Mom was incredibly talented at everything from sewing, knitting, cake decorating, painting and gardening. Mom will be remembered for her endless hours of volunteering and sharing her talents with others. We were also very proud of her when she graduated from the University of Winnipeg in her 50s with a degree in history. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Cambridge Memorial Hospital B2 staff, Health At Home and Paramed for their outstanding care and all they did to make it possible for Mom to be home in her final days.

At Mom's request, there is no funeral. To honour her memory please share your talents with others.

Love you Mom

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Sorry to hear of Carole's passing. She was a true sister in ''Star'' helping me put my year as Worthy Grand Matron together. Making my Officers purses and just helping when she could. It was a pleasure to be in her company. Somewhere back of the sunset Where loveliness never dies She lives in a land of glory Mid the blue and gold of the skies And we who have known and loved her Whose passing has brought sad an tears Will cherish her memory always To brighten the passing years Rest in Peace ''Star'' Love - Posted by: Nancy Drewniak P.G.M (Eastern Star Sister) on: Aug 25, 2025

  • I am so very sorry to read of Carole’s passing. I knew her for many years through politics and we often did lunch together. She always spoke of how much her family meant to her. May God hold you close at this sad time. - Posted by: Susan Brennand (Friend) on: Aug 23, 2025
