It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Bruce Evans on August 30, 2025.
He will be lovingly remembered by his soulmate, Laurie; mother, Shirley; siblings, Brenda and Brian; as well as extended family and dear friends.
Bruce retired from the City of Winnipeg where he worked for over 30 years.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who was truly at home in the great outdoors where he could fully appreciate the beauty of mother nature. He loved to cook and thoroughly enjoyed sharing meals with family and friends.
Cremation will take place and a private family Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.

I knew Bruce from our school days as well as running into him while we both worked for the CoW. One summer while visiting relatives at their cottage on Brereton Lake I ran into Bruce again and he invited my brothers and I to come and jump into the lake from the cliffs around his family cottage. I hadn't seen him in a few years and had no idea that he had retired and I was unaware of any illness he suffered with. He was a great guy with a great laugh and sense of humor. Ken and I had known Bruce throughout his time working in a division of the City of Winnipeg. He was a good worker and loved learning new things with us. We are so sorry that he had passed.
