  • I only came to know Edward since around his 25th wedding anniversary, which was a gala event. Cecile and I were friends for longer, and were involved in a number of things together. But a few years ago I would visit Cecile in their home and then got to know and to appreciate Edward during those visits. I so liked his gentle nature, and his quiet way of watching and listening until he had something he wanted to express, which he did in a no-nonsense way. I loved to watch the smile slowly develop in his eyes before it spread to his mouth to show his amusement or pleasure. He so loved his "kids" and especially those grandchildren! He loved fishing and hunting. He shared venison with me. These last years were so tough for both him and Cecile, but they soldiered through them together. Her loving and vigilant care prolonged his life, I am convinced. You have all lost a darling man, but his suffering here has ended. I trust you can celebrate all that he was for each of you family members, even as you feel the void he has left in your lives. - Posted by: Hollie Andrew (friend) on: Sep 12, 2025

  • We’re sure going to miss Eddie the Energizer Bunny. He was always busy going here and there and lending a helping hand wherever needed. He had a kind and generous heart and was a doer. He loved getting down and dirty. The dirtier he got working - the bigger the smile on his face. Ed’s family was the focus of his life. Nothing he loved more than spending time with them fishing, hunting or helping them with home renovations projects. May all those wonderful Memories of happier times help ease your sorrows. - Posted by: Garry and Debbie Whyte (Friends) on: Sep 11, 2025
