It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Donald who left us peacefully on October 9, 2025.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife Ruth, sister Mary Lou, daughter Susan (Jim), son Craig (Brenda), daughter Maureen (predeceased by Hubert) and six grandchildren: Scott (Christina), Ashley (Regan), Christopher (Erin), Heather (Jeremy), Jeffrey, Dean and great-grandson James.
We are grateful to the staff at the Charleswood Care Center for the excellent care they provided over these last few months.
At his request, there will be no service at this time.
In lieu of a formal memorial service, Donald’s wish was for each of us to remember and celebrate his life in their own private way.

My sincerest sympathy’s to you Mrs. Fennel, Susan, Craig, Maureen and your families. Our family moved there in 1963 and I was born 2 months after my parents and older siblings moved in 2 doors down from your family. Our block on Lennox was a wonderful place where everyone knew everyone and kids were always playing in the front yards and on the street. I’ll always remember how your Dad and Grandfather always gave a little wave as I walked or biked by, while he was manicuring the front yard. I was so young but I clearly appreciated the way he edged his lawn along the sidewalks. I never forgot that detailing.
