KENNETH D. PAIGE

1943 - 2025

Our family is saddened to announce the passing of our wonderful husband and father, Ken, on October 29th at the Grace Hospital, one day before his 82nd birthday.

Ken grew up in Riverview in Winnipeg, going to Ashland School and Churchill High School. He played all kinds of sports growing up and especially loved playing hockey. He was a true Jets fan. Ken was a proud member of Breezy Bend and enjoyed his Tuesday afternoon and weekend golf games with his friends.

Ken was in sales and marketing most of his working days, travelling to many different places, and was successful at what he did. Despite many health challenges, he showed remarkable resilience, facing every obstacle head-on and persisting with strength and determination.

We would like to thank the Grace Hospital for caring for Ken during this difficult time and Dr. Susan Green for her support over the last year.

He is survived by his wife Gayle (60 years) and his daughter Dr. Allison Paige, her husband Allan Moore and grandchildren, Brooke and Lachlan (Poppa). He is also survived by his sister-in-law Judy Gallagher, her two sons, Bill and Jaret Klymchuk, and their wives and children. Also survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Danna and Chris Olbrecht, and their daughter Kacie (Jerid). Ken was predeceased by his son Jordan Paige (age 14), his parents, Cy and Hilda, his in-laws, Thora and Dan, his brothers-in-law, Bill and Tim, as well as Dennis and Gina.

As per his wishes, there will be no funeral.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ken's favourite charity: Winnipeg Pet Rescue, #12-2727 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3J OR2.

His laughter will echo in our memories and his love will guide us always.

Till we meet again.

  • My condolences to Gail, Allison, and family. I met Ken on January 16th, 1979 as a 23 year old. Ken and Morley Miron took a chance and hired me that day as a salesman for KTel for the northern Alberta territory. I had zero experience and Ken was the General Sales manager. Over the course of the next 2 and 1/2 years, Ken made several visits to Edmonton to work with me and evaluate my sales and my progress and provide me with direct training. Each visit was memorable! I learned an enormous amount about being professional and helping my customers through the products we offered. Ken was a strong character and somewhat intimidating, but smart, communicated well and I learned non stop while we worked together during those days. Then, when the sales calls were done for the day, we would go out for dinner and the method of delivery of the lessons changed!!! During cocktails, appetizers, bottles of wine, great dinners, very direct questions, and a lot of laughter, Ken taught me about being the best and most honourable person and salesperson I could be. He also taught me a lot about life, being a good human being, being honest, and always striving to be my best. From his first visit to every visit and encounter after, he became a great mentor and an instant friend!! I have enjoyed meeting up with Ken, including on the ice, over the years since those early days when he had such a big impact on my life. I will always think of Ken with a smile and with gratitude for knowing him. David De Leeuw - Posted by: David De Leeuw (Friend) on: Nov 08, 2025
