I can't make it tomorrow as its the same time I have to pick up my family from YWG. Sorry buddy, love you for ever. Tattoo. Later. - Posted by: Rick Banack (Best Man at my wedding) on: Nov 11, 2025

When I worked the north end we were on the same shift. Bill was not only excellent at his craft, but as others have stated, he was hilarious. Yes I have a snake story, I was told that Bill feared reptiles, so, he came into the parade room and I tossed a long rubber snake at him. He jumped a foot in the air and yelled, his exact words were " I never thought you would do something like that Rev! He calmed down, and I dont remember if he paid me back. Sorry for your leaving us and prayers for your family Bill. Bruce - Posted by: Bruce Day (co-worker) on: Nov 11, 2025

In his gentle strength, and in the courage of his vulnerability, Bill showed us that love is not the absence of fear, but the grace to face it together. Bill restored my faith in love. The way he spoke, with devotion, awe, and gratitude, is a constant reminder that true love still exists in this world. His strength was matched only by his gentleness, and the love he shared continues to inspire those of us who were lucky enough to witness it. - Posted by: Batman (Fellow Wounded Warrior) on: Nov 11, 2025

I met Bill while attending the first part of the Wounded Warriors program and was fortunate to attend with him again to part 2 of the Wounded Warriors program this past June 2025. Bill provided that reassuring presence to me while there, both times we were able to watch some hockey whether it was the Jets or the Oilers games; and, he spoke of his family dearly. I felt a connection with Bill whether it was from our line of work or his character. I am saddened by the news of his passing and will cherish the small amount of time I spent with him. I wish to send condolences to his family and all others who knew him. Rest Easy Bill. Thanks for the support. You will be missed. - Posted by: Chris Wagner (Friend) on: Nov 08, 2025

Bill you were larger than life and one of the funniest guys I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. The world has lost a great man. I have so many wonderful memories of you both from work and personally. I promise to make you proud and take your place in FB jail regularly. I love you Billy and will miss you so much, until we meet again one day. Until then keep singing Danny Boy so we can all hear you. My prayers and sincere condolences are with Diane and all of Bill’s family. Rest easy my dear friend. - Posted by: Sheree Leone-Hanysh (Friend/Co-worker) on: Nov 08, 2025

My deepest condolences to Dianne and all of Bill's family. I worked with Bill a few different times but we were friends forever. Bill was always laughing, joking and playing practical jokes, he brought so much joy to a serious work place. Bill also had a way of looking after people, he took many people "under his wing" over the years never asking for anything in return. We had many great times together and I will cherish those memories forever. I can't believe you are gone my friend, you will be missed. - Posted by: Mark Pruden (Friend and co workerr) on: Nov 08, 2025

I was shocked, sad and angry to hear of Bill’s passing. Way too young and makes no sense that a good man is gone so young. I first met Bill when we worked together in the 90’s and became good friends. First thing I saw with Bill is he’s a character and loves practical jokes. I learned very quickly if you wanted to get Bill on a practical joke than you better make sure he didn’t find out it was you that played the joke on him cause he’d get you back 10 fold. Everyone knew of Bill’s fear of snakes so there may have been a time a fake rubber snake turned up in the drawer of his desk and all you heard when he opened the drawer was a LOUD scream from Bill saying “snake” as he ran from the office. Unfortunately Bill found out I was involved and yes he got me back 10 fold. There is another snake story which occurred during a search warrant but that one will be shared on Nov. 12. Bill was a good man who made me laugh every time I’d run into him It was an absolute pleasure to have known you Bill…. Rest in Peace … - Posted by: Dave Lysyk (Friend / coworker) on: Nov 08, 2025

I had the pleasure of becoming friends with Bill over 45 years ago! He was a special person who put a smile on everyone's face the moment he entered the room! Full of mischief his practical jokes were legendary! Bill was always ready & willing to help others. He put aside his own issues to help others. Bill was a big reason that the WPS veterans peer support group had a successful fundraiser for Wounded Warriors. There's less laughter in the world today, Bill you will be missed by so many. When we meet again we'll create one of those cartoons together like we did all those years ago! To Dianne & the rest of Bill's family condolence's from Sharon & I. - Posted by: Jerry Maryniuk (Friend & coworker.) on: Nov 08, 2025
