With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, William Malcolm "Mac" Anthony Franz, father of Kelly (Dennis), Donna (Frank), Bob (Brenda), on October 26, 2025, while surrounded by love, family, friends and the caring staff at Holy Family Home.
Mac was born on October 7, 1934, to Vera and Anthony "Tony" Franz. Mac was joined by his loved siblings Charles "Bryan" and Donna. Mac grew up on the farm, in Gimli and in Winnipeg.
Mac worked for 37 years with the Canadian Pacific Railway. He was a Supervisor at Weston Shops when he retired.
Over his lifetime Dad benefited from exceptional healthcare. With appreciation we thank Dr. Permack, his team, Dad's specialists, Deer Lodge Hospital, and Holy Family Home.
Dad loved the Lake- Spruce Bay; a Celebration of Life will be planned - summer of 2026.

Sending Deepest Condolences to Kelly (Dennis) Donna (Frank), Bob (Brenda) on loss of your Dad. We had great times on Hector, Cabin at Spruce Sands and family gatherings. Mac was a great father and host. Mac has seen many changes in this world for past 91 years. It is now time to fly high and be with your Mom,Dad, Bryan,Donna, in laws Margaret and Bob Wearden. So many memories we have had with Mac over the 50 years of being a summer neighbour at Spruce Bay. He always had time to stop what ever he was doing to have a chat and a coffee.
