Angelina Buccini

August 7, 1938 - November 10, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, our Nanny, Angelina Buccini, at the age of 87. Angelina will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her sisters Lena and Rina; brother Tony (Tita); sister-in-law Sharon; sons-in-law Greg and Larry; grandchildren Amanda (Mike), Ryan, Tristan (Marie-Josée), Samantha (Justin), Christopher (Katie), and Amber (Bryce); as well as her great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. Angelina was predeceased by her parents, Gaetano and Giuseppina; her brother, Orlando; her husbands, Gino and Gus; her daughters, Dolores and Penny; and her great-grandson, Ben.

Born in Amato, Italy, Angelina immigrated to Winnipeg as a young woman, where she built a beautiful life centered around family, faith, tradition, and hospitality. Angelina was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as a proud and active member in the Italian community. She will be remembered as a selfless and caring woman whose kindness and generosity touched all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at Holy Rosary Church on Thursday, November 20 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens.

  • We met Angie in the last few months because we have family at Charleswood Care Centre. Every day she smiled and spoke to people in the hallway and watched out for others and cared for everyone there. We shared stories of people that we knew in common. She was just so warm and lovely even though she was physically failing and worried about her own family. • Dear Angelina’s Family, Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your beautiful mother. Angelina was truly a bright light — warm, vibrant, and endlessly kind. Every time I saw her, she greeted me with such genuine joy that it felt like a gift. She often shared stories of her childhood in Amato, and her memories of my dad running around the village causing mischief always made her smile. The way she spoke of those early days — with such affection and liveliness — showed how rich her heart was and how deeply she cherished the people in her life. Your mother had a rare way of making others feel seen, welcomed, and valued. I will always remember her with warmth and gratitude. Wishing you strength, comfort, and peace during this difficult time.
