GARRY WARREN PESTALUKY

December 7, 1950 -

November 13, 2025

It is with profound love and deep sadness, we share the peaceful passing of Garry Warren Pestaluky, surrounded by his family on November 13, 2025.

Garry’s absence will be felt beyond measure by his devoted wife Maria, children, Melanie Thwaites (Mike), Tiffany Pestaluky-Young (Jade), Rita Aiello (Ryan), Peter Aiello (Claire), his grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as “Papa G” - Jackson, Grace, Andrew, Kayla, Riley, Lilianna, Matteo, Octavia and Rosa, his brother Wayne Pestaluky, nieces, Lisa Wessner (Scott), Amber Pestaluky, and families.

Garry was predeceased by his father, Mike Pestaluky in 2015 and mother, Alice Pestaluky in January 2025 whom he spoke of often and with great love and admiration.

Born and raised in St. Boniface, Garry attended Nelson McIntyre Collegiate. He spent his career in the electrical industry working his way through various roles which led him to opening an electrical manufacturer representative firm, Hi-Tech Sales - something he was incredibly proud of. He was a valued contributor to the electrical industry and his dedication and input was well respected by both his peers and manufacturers. Garry served two years as president of the Manitoba Electrical League and was a loyal member for many years. He was incredibly proud of his work, however more than anything, Garry treasured the friendships, memories and connections he made along the way.

A past member of the Corvette Club of Manitoba, Garry loved classic cars and the many road trips including to the Black Hills and gatherings that came with them. His passion for sports followed him throughout his life. He was an avid baseball player in his younger years, a lifetime Jets fan and a proud, longstanding season ticket holder. He never missed a game if he could help it. Golfing was a weekly occurrence with a highlighted hole-in-one at Breezy Bend. His fly-in fishing adventures with close friends were a source of endless joy and stories he revisited often, always with a smile.

Garry excelled at everything he did with a zest for life that stayed strong throughout his years. His sense of humor and laughter was infectious, and his warm smile and presence made every room lighter. He was kind, thoughtful, generous, and endlessly devoted to his family that he loved. His grandchildren were his pride and joy - he delighted in joking around and playing with them, while ensuring to celebrate their every milestone.

Most importantly, Garry was a remarkable father. Loving, patient, selfless, encouraging, kindhearted, his motto was always family first and he held his family at the heart of every decision and every moment. He was the best dad that we could have asked for, and we are so lucky and blessed to be able to call him Dad.

The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors and care teams that helped and supported Garry through his life’s journey.

A memorial service and reception will be held on December 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Green Acres Funeral Home. 1 Green Acres Lane, Navin MB R5T0H2

“A champion is someone who gets up when they can’t. Fall seven times, stand up eight” - words Garry lived by and a legacy of strength he leaves with all of us.
