We had the pleasure and honour to get to know Fr. Pinet as our paths crossed in both our personal and professional careers. He was truly a kind and caring person who has left an impression in our hearts and lives. May his heart and soul be at peace. Père Pinet had a significant influence on me as a young man while he worked at the Precieux-Sang Parish. I participated in a contact group that he organized where young men like myself could share are thoughts and feelings. It was an experience that I still remember fondly to this day. My wife and I also helped him with a marriage preparation course which he led. He was a truly fine man dedicated to helping others and to his unwavering faith, which he demonstrated through his many services to the community. I was touched by a comment he made about one of the most difficult aspects of his vocation which was that at Christmas time when families got together he found it a difficult lonely time. Unfortunately it never crossed my mind at the time to invite him to our family’s celebration. He loved being with people and was such a pleasure to spend time with, having that French Canadian “joie de vivre”. May he rest in peace and be rewarded in the afterlife for a life well spent in the service of his fellow man. - Posted by: Yves Brunel (Parishioner) on: Nov 29, 2025

I had the privilege of meeting Père Pinet when we served on the Marymound board, and we later worked together for 7 years in Manitoba Youth Corrections. Bernie was always a positive, hardworking, good humored colleague and a wonderful friend of our family. R.I.P. mon ami. - Posted by: Dr. Bill Stevens (Friend and colleague) on: Nov 29, 2025
