It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Genevieve Marie Price (née Dearman) on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at St. Boniface Hospital surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren.
Gen was predeceased by her husband Kenneth. She is survived by her children, Gregory (Renee), Virginia, Michelle (Shawn Clarke), and Donna Skrypetz (Lawrence); grandchildren, Zachary (Ferny Hernandez), Emily Skrypetz (Alex Smith), Laurie Skrypetz, Kenzie Clarke and Paityn Clarke (Damien Wolf); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Gen was born at St. Boniface Hospital on July 6, 1943. She spent her early years on the family farm in West St. Paul before the family moved to West Kildonan in Winnipeg.
Her faith was an integral part of her life being a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Charleswood. She was active in volunteering with the Catholic Women’s League, as a minister of the Eucharist at West Park Manor and Grace Hospital, and as an Associate of the Missionaries of the Child Jesus. She was especially proud that her grandson was planning to marry in the Catholic church next summer.
A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, 4588 Roblin Blvd. in Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish or a charity of your choice.

Our deepest condolences to the family. Your Mom was such a nice lady. We haven’t seen her for a few years, but enjoyed her last visit with Lorraine, Dorothy and Cliff for a barbecue. We wanted to attend her funeral today, but unfortunately I fell a few days ago and broke a couple of ribs and now have pneumonia. My deepest condolences and sympathy to all the family. I'm your Mom's first cousin. Your Grandma and my Mom are sisters. Every summer cousins would come in from the States and visit family in Winnipeg. We would all get together for cards and a meal.
