Helga Ruth Nikkel
(née Wettstein)
July 24, 1951 – December 23, 2024
With heartfelt remembrance, we mark one year since the passing of Helga Ruth Nikkel (née Wettstein), who left us on December 23, 2024, at the age of 73 at the Health Sciences Centre.
Helga is lovingly remembered by her children, Steven and Timothy Nikkel; her sister Elfie Harvey (Alan); her brothers John Wettstein (Monika) and Carl Wettstein (Sherry); her last surviving aunt, Ruth Klassen; as well as her nieces, nephews, and her longtime loving friend Gary Schultz. She was predeceased by her parents, Christian and Frieda Wettstein.
A private service for family was held.
In honour of Helga’s memory, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
