"ANN" She was such a fun-loving woman, always full of stories and always happy to share them. She had a way of talking with people that made you feel at ease right away, engaging friends and family with warmth, kindness, and a genuine interest in their lives. I’m very grateful for the time I was able to spend with her, especially after she moved into her daughter Linda and son-in-law Phil’s home. During my visits with my brother Phil, it was really the company that mattered most — the conversations, the laughter, and simply being together. Watching a Bomber or Jets game often brought us all into the same room, giving us time to talk, tease, and enjoy one another’s presence. Those moments, along with her cooking, Phil's BBQs and sitting outside on the patio chatting, created memories filled with comfort and joy. Though I wasn’t related by blood, I always thought of her as my adopted “Baba” — a term of respect that felt natural to me and reminded me of my own Baba, who passed many years ago. She brought back those same feelings of warmth, kindness, and comfort, and I will always be grateful for that connection. What stands out most is how her love — and the love she shared with her husband John — continues to live on through their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They are a close-knit, caring family, and you can see her legacy in the way they support one another, laugh together, and show such genuine love. Her faith in Jesus was strong, and I believe she was called home and is now at peace, welcomed into the Lord’s loving arms as she begins her next chapter. Her memory lives on in me, and even as I write this, I find myself smiling. She was a truly beautiful soul — kind, loving, and deeply cherished.
