Kazimierz Patalas, age 100, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026 at Shaftesbury Park Retirement Residence.
A funeral mass in Polish will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Bobola Parish, 541 Marion St., Winnipeg, A prayer service to celebrate Kazimierz Patalas' life followed by interment and a reception will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. in Winnipeg.

Maria and I were deeply saddened at the news. 'Pan Patalas' was an honorable gentleman, a patriot, a considerate tutor, mentor, friend and colleague. I remember many instances where his advice to me on matters related in particular to the Polish Combatants Association (PCA) were of great benefit. When seeking advice or assistance 'no' was never in his vocabulary. His 'listening' resulting in counsel always produced wise outcomes. His consistently kindly approach with all was role model in nature. May you rest in peace. May the family accept deepest condolences and know how much we will miss 'Pan Patalas.'
