ROGER S. POITRAS
Peacefully, following a brief illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Roger Poitras with his family by his side on January 21, 2026.
Roger will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Victoria (Vicki); his three sons, Michael (Bonny), Alan (Karen), and Richard (Kim). He also leaves to mourn his seven grandsons, Kristian (Katie), Andrew (Jessica), Steven (Jessica), Colin (Jenna), Matthew (Melissa), Kevin, and Blake; great-grandchildren, Devon, Kadence, Reese, Maya, Nolan, Noah, Aurora, Mason, Maverick, Abigail, Bennett, Nathan, and Caiden; sister Terri and brother Gerald (Dale).
In keeping with Roger’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, February 3, at 10:00 a.m. in the Green Acres Funeral Chapel, 1 Green Acres Lane, Navin, Manitoba. A private interment will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Meadow’s Retirement Home, Palliative Care, and CancerCare Manitoba during the last leg of Roger’s cancer journey. They are all beautiful people!
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Siloam Mission, or CancerCare Manitoba in memory of Roger.

Met Roger and Vicki at Agape Villa where we both lived. So sorry to hear of his passing. He loved picking the apples at Agape Villa which he contributed to Siloam Mission. - Posted by: Sally Slack (From Agape Villa) on: Jan 31, 2026

Our condolences to Vicky and their family on the passing of Roger. It was a pleasure and honour in singing with Roger for many years at St. Bernadette's Parish on Sunday mornings. Roger was a great singer and contributed so much to our Sunday masses. It was great to know you Roger and I know that you are very happy in heaven.
