GARY LEE HARVIE
It is with profound sadness that we pronounce the passing of Gary Lee Harvie on December 15, 2025 at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 84.
Gary was predeceased by his parents Calvin and Hazel Harvie, his brothers Pete, Irvin and Bobbi, his sisters Beatrice, Ruby and Dorothy as well as his son-in-law Trevor Hoilett.
Gary leaves behind his wife Bonita of 47 years, his daughter Tracy Hoilett and his son Christopher Harvie, along with his grandchildren Jalen, London, Dayton and Mia. He also leaves his sisters Joyce and Shirley (Betty) His sisters-in-law Shiela (Mike) and Valencia and his brother-in-law Brett in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
Gary was born on December 11, 1941 in Windsor, Ontario where he was raised. He met and married Bonita in 1978 and they moved their family to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1980. Gary worked at Imperial Steel Products Ltd. for over 40 years doing various jobs. He and Bonita spent much of their time as dedicated members of the Royal Canadian Legion volunteering for countless hours.
We wish to thank Dr. Fred Ikebuaso for his care and kindness. The staff at Lions Manor Personal Care Home for sharing precious time and smiles with both Gary and Bonita. Heidi from Arms of the Cross for her patience and understanding. Keith Holliday for your love and support and willingness to help. And finally I wish to thank my Aunt Betty whom I just met for treating me like you've known me my whole life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Cropo Funeral Home in the Spring of 2026 - date to be determined.
