JULIEN LACHANCE

On February 6, 2026, our beloved Julien peacefully passed away surrounded by his family.

Julien will be deeply missed by his wife ,Doris(Blouin); his daughter Chantal (Scott Gibson) and Louie of Glasgow Scotland; his son Jean-Claude(Shabnam) Kayhan and Tiam of Vancouver. He will also be lovingly remembered by our extended family; Dennis and Sarah Willman, Rhéa, Leo, Eve; brothers-in-law; Ron Loiselle and Denis Blouin(Angela); sister-in-law Joan Bolen; and many nieces; nephews and friends.

Julien was predeceased by his parents Hilaire and Yvonne Lachance; his three Brothers Marcien; Gilbert(Solange); Roger(Carole).

Julien grew up on a mixed farm in St. Eustache, where hard work alongside his family was a way of life. After completing his schooling, he left the farm at 19 to work in agriculture. He became a research miller of Canadian wheats and durum, conducting quality testing. He enjoyed his work and valued the people he worked with. Throughout his life, he remained well informed about farming and agriculture through his reading.

He participated in many sports with colleagues, including curling; 10 pin bowling and hockey. He also enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing, as well as fishing in the Gulf of Mexico and deep-sea fishing with his son Jean-Claude. He was a loyal fan of the Jets and the Blue Bombers.

Julien and Doris shared a love of nature. They enjoyed spending time at the farm; gardening; restoring old buildings; taking care of the yard and trees. Together they travelled across Canada; the States and many countries creating lasting memories. Above all, he was truly a man of the Prairies.

The family wishes to thank Home Palliative Care, River View Palliative Care and the Grace Hospice for their compassion and care.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 135 John Forsyth Rd., on March 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to River View and Grace Hospice.
