BRENDA MURIEL MORRIS

(nee ROSS)

February 6, 1951 – February 22, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Muriel Morris on February 22, 2026. Brenda was loved and will be missed by her children Bryan (Pam), Greg (Courtney), grandchildren Evan (Carissa), Marlies, Brady and Coleton and her brothers David (Bev) and Donald (Penny). Brenda was predeceased by her husband Jim and her parents Ed and Muriel Ross.

Brenda passed away at the age of 75 after a short battle with cancer. Brenda grew up on Guildford Ave. where she had many neighbourhood friends. Childhood memories include many trips out to the farm in Saskatchewan to visit with family and great summers spent at the cottage in Whytewold. Brenda graduated high school from the St. James Collegiate in 1969 and went on to work as a lifeguard at the St James Civic Centre. Brenda was an active member of Job’s Daughters as a teenager and young adult, where she met Jim. Jim was a member of the DeMolay and they met at a DeMolay dance. Brenda and Jim were married in 1972, and moved into an apartment suite at the Courts of St James, where they lived as a family of 3. Soon after Bryan was born, they needed more space and purchased a house on Pritchard Ave. With a growing family, they moved out to Pipeline Road in 1985 where they had a hobby farm and continued to raise their family. Brenda lived at their house on Pipeline until she moved to an apartment on Leila Ave in 2022. Brenda spent the majority of her life raising a family and ensuring that her loved ones were well taken care of, often putting the needs of others ahead of her own. She volunteered often, with many different organizations and was always willing to be involved with the groups that benefited her friends and family. Once her children were teenagers, she rejoined the workforce and took a job at Flint Ink. Brenda enjoyed her time as a member of the Wellness Institute where she formed strong friendships. She looked forward to her many trips to Disney with her family, along with other family holidays to Mexico and a special family cruise to Alaska in 2024. In Brenda’s later years, she enjoyed taking part in the activities at her apartment block, such as bingo, exercise classes and trips out to South Beach Casino. Brenda was very generous and always enjoyed sharing her winnings with her Grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and a gathering will be held at the Henderson Legion located at 215 Maxwell King Drive, East St. Paul on March 6, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The gathering will be a come and go event, open to anyone who would like to attend. An additional celebration of life BBQ will take place in the spring/summer.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating blood or making a donation to a charity of your choice.

Mom lived a great life and had no regrets. She lived a life too short, but full of love and happiness. We will miss you!
