It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Edward Bernie Payjack. For many years Edward faced several health challenges with strength and remarkable resilience. He passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026 at Concordia Hospital surrounded by loved ones.
Edward (Ed/Eddie) leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years Sandra (Sandie). He will be forever cherished by his children, Kerrie (Kyle), Derek (Tara) and his four beloved grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, Brody and Breelynn. He also leaves behind brothers, Nick, Mike, Barry, Bruce, sisters, Virginia, Gail, Evelyn, Nancy, Sandra, Lynn, Darlene, godchildren, Colleen, Tracey, Edward, numerous family members and many friends.
Edward was predeceased by his daughter Diana, father Walter, mother Stephanie, father-in-law Benjamin, mother-in-law Viola, brothers, Victor, Ronald, Douglas, sisters, Sherry, Cindy, brother-in-law Douglas, sister-in-law Shirley, nephews, Rodney, Victor, Larry, Christopher and niece Lisa.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 22, 2026 at the Prince Edward Legion #81, 300 Trent Avenue in Winnipeg at 1:00 p.m.

My sincere condolences to Sandie and family on the passing of your husband and father, I was fortunate to have briefly chatted with Sandie and Eddie recently while attending a medical appointment. Ed was always present for sporting events where his daughter or son and my daughter and son were team members.
