Bob and Tony and family please accept my sincerest condolences, your father was one of the great guys. I enjoyed his company at work and away from work even if I didn’t agree with his strike zone. Hé will be greatly missed I’m sure. My prayers are with you. - Posted by: Wally melnyk (Friend) on: Mar 24, 2026

From the moment I met Barb and Ed they welcomed me and my family into their family. Ed helped us look for our first house (although he missed that the shower was shorter than Bob), built the rec room in our second house with his neighbour Danny, and was an excellent Santa to our children for many years. Their family BBQs meant Ed would spend the day before cutting the grass in the backyard, arranging the picnic tables and bbqs, and getting the fire pit ready with his magic sticks! At Christmas time Barb and Ed went over the top with gifts for everyone and every summer for many years they rented a cottage in Gimli that the kids and grandkids could use. That made us many happy memories of the cousins swimming together and running races in the sand after dinner when the beach was quiet. Ed loved showing off his moves at weddings and socials and he loved going for long walks along Main Street looking for “treasures”. He was a wonderful father in law and a terrific grandfather. He will be truly missed. - Posted by: S Magyar (Family friend) on: Mar 24, 2026

Dear Bob & Family, very sorry for your loss. Your Dad was a great man. He was also a fair man in every day life, even though he suspended me a few times from the Red River Community Center! He will really be missed. Take care, Doug & Pam - Posted by: Doug Orr (Friend of the Family) on: Mar 22, 2026
