It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Gord on April 16 at the age of 87.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Donna of 64 years, his daughter Julie Penelton (Gary), and his son Randal (Brenda). He was a proud grandfather to Kayla (Marc), Stephanie (Dave) Braydon (Savannah), and Taya. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Ada, Emery, Arthur, and Tatum, who brought him immense joy. He will be missed by dear family including Brad Penelton (Josie), Marni Penelton (Rob) and Karen Ayotte.
In keeping with Gord’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and he has been laid to rest at Brookside Cemetery. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

We are very sad to hear of Gord’s passing. Deepest condolences to Donna & all the family. We first met Gord & Donna at Spruce Sands. We used to say they were the “parents” of our block (on the bay). Gord & Donna hosted the most wonderful get togethers and bonfires. At one point there had to be more than 30 people at their fires. Gord used to share the most wonderful stories; about his time in the military and the family’s travel overseas. Donna always at his side. Saying “Oh Gord” and slapping his arm. Gord would always be the first one to help out when deck building time came. He was also an amazing listener and always had great advise. Both are very special people. We’ve had such a privilege of spending time with Gord & Donna. Gord will never be forgotten a true gentleman and a friend of honor. May you rest in peace. - Posted by: Marnie Houston & Ron Cripps (acquaintance) on: Apr 27, 2026
