It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Darlene passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, at Beacon Hill Lodge at the age of 90.
Darlene is survived by her two children, Jeff (Joyann) and Carolyn (Layne); two grandchildren, Kaeleigh and Sean; younger brother, Boyd; former sister-in-law, Shirley; sister-in-law Beverly Bestland; as well as many extended family members and cherished friends.
In accordance with Darlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
The family wants to extend thanks to the staff at Beacon Hill Lodge, Grace Hospital, Victoria Hospital, and Linden Pointe for Darlene’s care over the last several months.
Charitable donations can be made in Darlene's honor to the Good Neighbours Active Living Centre, Stroke Recovery Association of Manitoba, Winnipeg Humane Society, or another charity of your choice.
