Sending my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Aunt Marlyne, Scott, Holly, Hope, and the entire family. Reading about Uncle Jim’s incredible 93 years—and his deep roots growing up here in Winnipeg with his sisters and brothers—paints a picture of a truly wonderful, devoted man. While I didn't get the opportunity to know him as well as I wished I had, I will never forget a funny moment from years ago at the funeral for his sister, my awesome Granny Mary. Someone pointed across the room at Uncle Jim and said, 'Look at that guy over there, he stands exactly like you!' I looked over and said, 'Oh yeah, that’s my Uncle Jimmy!' It turns out we shared the exact same mannerisms without even trying. Since the family has encouraged relatives to connect and share memories, I would love nothing more than to reach out, hear more stories, and stay in touch with the surviving family members. If anyone is open to connecting when the time is right, please feel free to reach out to me at cmccheyne@hotmail.com. Sending you all so much love and strength from Winnipeg during this difficult time. - Posted by: COLIN MCCHEYNE (great uncle) on: May 30, 2026

So very sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. I was a close friend of Peggy (she was like my 2nd mother) and Heather's, as well as knowing Mary and her girls too. Sending sincere condolences. - Posted by: Frances A McQuiggin (Friend) on: May 30, 2026
