TRICIA MARIE KORKOWSKI

(MAYBA)

July 2, 1989 - March 13, 2026

Tricia was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, before eventually making her home in Nanaimo, British Columbia.

From a young age, Tricia excelled in both academics and athletics, discovering a passion for volleyball. Throughout her career, she represented the Dakota Lancers, Team Manitoba, the U of M Bisons, Team Canada, and later played professionally in Poland.

In high school, Tricia met the love of her life, Konrad. They were married on July 2, 2016, and welcomed their son, Jameson, on September 26, 2024. Becoming a mother was one of Tricia's greatest joys, and Jameson was truly the light of her life.

Tricia is survived by her devoted husband, Konrad, and her precious son, Jameson; her loving parents, Wendy and Barry; her sister, Katey, brother-in-law Moe, and their son Cairo; her second family in British Columbia, Barbara and Mirek, Raf and Jess, and her beloved nieces, Karlin and Kenley.

Tricia was a force of nature - radiant, strong, athletic, and fiercely determined. She loved fitness, reading, travel, sharing her passion for food, and embracing her role as Jameson's proud "Momma Bear."

Throughout her courageous seven-month battle with pancreatic cancer, Tricia and her medical team fought tirelessly to extend her time with those she loved. Her medical team fought like hell for Tricia. The battle is over, and the pain is gone. Our warrior Tricia is now at peace.

Tricia's legacy will live on through the people she loved and the lives she touched. She would encourage us to put family first, care for ourselves, stay active, take pictures, and travel.

Tricia, you are deeply loved, forever missed, and will remain in our hearts always.

A Celebration of Life for Tricia will be held on June 27, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Winnipeg 603 Wellington Crescent, Winnipeg, MB.
