On June 8, 2026 our beloved mom, Marion quietly passed away in her 101st year.
She is survived by her children, Terri, David (Chris), Carol (Rick Ursel) and Tim.
Marion was also a cherished grandmother to her grandchildren, Jessica and Jena. Jessica was a very important part of Baba’s life, her frequent visits as Mom declined were so appreciated.
She is predeceased by her husband John.
Mom had a full and vibrant life, dedicating her life to raising her children and many enjoyable years working as a receptionist at Fred Douglas Lodge.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Kildonan House and Kildonan Personal Care Home for their loving care of our Mom during her time at both places.
A private family service and burial has taken place.

My Aunt Marion was a very gentle, kind and generous person and I was privileged to be one of her nephews. Because of me having a summer job in Winnipeg in 1960, she and her husband, my Uncle Johnny, kindly welcomed me to live with them for that summer. Aunt Marion looked after me very well for those months. For the years after, every time I was in Winnipeg, I made an effort to visit her. Each visit was very pleasant because of her postive and sunny disposition. She always looked on the bright side, no matter what life threw at her. Resp in peace, Aunt Marion. - Posted by: Alvin Hlady (Nephew) on: Jun 14, 2026
