Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT BENJAMIN FRANKLIN
It is with sadness that we share that Robert (Bob) Franklin died on June 13, 2026, at the age of 74, after a decade long battle with dementia. In his final hours he was surrounded by the love of his family, and he took his last breath with his beloved wife, Dorothy, by his side. Also left to cherish his memory are his daughters Kelly (Dinen), Carla (Jason) and Lana (Randy), his grandchildren Noah, Nicholas, Sydney, Neela, Devon and Riley, and his puppy, Sadie, as well as many close family and friends.
A celebration of Bob’s life will take place on July 18, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., North Kildonan United Church, 174 Pentland Street. In his honour, we hope that those who gather to join us will smile, laugh and share fun memories and stories about Bob. This is what he would want for all of us.

I just wanted to extend my condolences to the family. Bob and I were all part of a great group of St. James teenage kids growing up in the 1960’s. Bob was a hockey player and a curler and I was guitar player in a band, but somehow we made a connection. Bob was a good storyteller with a great sense of humour and a reliable friend. We all grew up and went our separate ways. A few years ago some of the old friends talked about getting together again, but somehow it never happened. - Posted by: Ken Clark (Friend from our teenage days) on: Jun 23, 2026
