KRISTINE ROBINS

January 5, 1950 - May 29, 2026

Peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, Kris Robins, beloved mother, grandmother and dear friend, passed away on May 29, 2026, at 76 years of age.

She was predeceased by her mother Lorraine, father Robert, sister Karen and her beloved husband, David.

She will be lovingly remembered by her many wonderful friends and family, including son Stephen (Kim) and their children Lucas and Brooke, and daughter Tannis (Jason) and their children Harlyn and Jett. She is also survived by our dear Auntie Neva, her amazing nieces, nephews, cousins and their families in Manitoba and British Columbia. As well as many close friends that were so special to her.

Kris was born in Winnipeg on January 5, 1950, and resided there her entire life. She was educated at River East Collegiate and went on to the University of Manitoba, where she graduated in 1972, where she was on the Dean’s Honour list and earned a degree in Home Economics.

Kris was always a hard worker, did many hours of philanthropy work, fundraising and took pride in helping others. She was extremely generous, loyal, business savvy, and worked throughout school. Then meeting her husband, David, in 1975 - who had started his own business (CMA Sales Ltd) which included manufacturing, importing children’s clothing and sales over many years.

In addition to supporting David’s career leading the family business, Kris developed her own set of interests. She loved family vacations, going to Victoria Beach in the summers, family dinners, holiday traditions and being part of her children’s active lives in activities, schools’ events, being part of committees, fundraisers and school/sporting events. Always making everyone feel special on birthdays, holidays and milestones. She loved her volunteer job at the St. Boniface Hospital, which she did for many years, as well as the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Sport Manitoba and being an extremely active mother in both Stephen and Tannis’ lives.

Kris loved to travel, especially to Palm Springs, California in the winters with her family. Her warmth, loving nature and always caring for others endeared her to so many friends and people over the years, and in her travels. Everyone who knew Kris was amazed by her beauty - both inside and out.

Kris was a very proud mother of Stephen and Tannis and their families. She adored her entire family, never missing a sporting event or school presentations, and concerts over the years. She was equally proud and devoted to her grandchildren and spoke about Lucas, Brooke, Harlyn and Jett daily. Nothing pleased her more than to hear about their dreams and accomplishments, and she cherished every opportunity to spend time and share stories with them.

Kris will always be remembered for her generosity, caring personality and as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and cousin to her family and a devoted friend to many. We carry Kris’ memory in our hearts and cherish the love and support she gave us and to all those whose hearts she touched.

Above all, Kris left a lasting impression on others simply by being herself. She will be fondly remembered by carrying a quiet strength and a deep kindness that made people feel seen, valued and at ease in her presence. She made many lifelong friendships that were so special to her.

Kris was an exceptional woman who was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Our family wishes to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Doctors V. Banerji and M. Harwood-Jones and the wonderful Oncology nurses and staff at Cancer Care Manitoba and the Grace Hospital. As well as the nurses and staff at the Palliative Care Program, and caregivers, who provided Kris with such kind and compassionate care in recent months.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba or the Humane Society.
