Pauline Clement passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026 at the age of 93.
She is survived by her son Raymond (Laurel), daughters, Sharon (Barry) Pattern and Sandra (Darren) Bencharski as well as her 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Alphonse, her daughters, Jeanette and Michelle, her son Gerry and her 12 siblings.
Pauline was born in St. Malo, Manitoba where she married Al in 1953. Al’s career in the Air Force took them across Canada from Whitehorse to Toronto. Later they came to settle back in Manitoba.
Pauline had a career in retail but she will mostly be remembered as a strong matriarch: cooking, sewing and offering care and advice to her large family. Her family is both pained by this loss and rejoices in her full and beautiful life and her resurrection to join her loved ones in heaven.
The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Anne’s Hospital and Resthaven Personal Care Home for their compassionate care.
A funeral mass will be held at Christ the King Parish, 847 St. Mary’s Rd., Winnipeg on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. with eulogies beginning at 11:00 a.m.

I had the pleasure of meeting Pauline Clement at Ste. Anne Hospital when she shared a room with my mother-in-law. She was a beautiful person inside and out—always kind, welcoming, and a joy to visit with. Even when she wasn’t feeling well, she still looked out for my mother-in-law.
