PAMELA JEANNE GUNN

The family is deeply saddened by the passing of Pamela Jeanne Gunn on April 14, 2026.

She was born on February 7, 1970, in Kenora, Ontario.

Pamela was predeceased by her beloved Father, Sedley Bruce Gunn in 1996.

Pamela is dearly missed by her son Keith Matson and daughter-In-Law Kaitlyn Staveley, her mother Therese Gunn and step-father Lorne McCool.

She is forever cherished and remembered by her brothers, Kevin (Andrea) and Larry (Jade), her three nephews, Elliot (Andrea), Joshua, Callum and grandnephew Forrest.

She leaves behind Aunts and Uncles who adored her dearly, especially her aunty Margaret Webster.

Her memory will be treasured by her cousins, friends and colleagues.

Pamela excelled at school, graduating from John Taylor Collegiate with Honors in 1988, University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Nursing Degree making The Deans list in 1992. She later went on to get her Master’s Degree in Nursing.

She had a beautiful personality and cared for people and that reflected in her choice of a career in nursing. She worked in the Manitoba health field and progressed through multiple areas in the health field as a home’s visitation nurse, geriatric nursing, nursing standards and professional practice and was a patient advocate in a patient relations role.

Outside of nursing, Pamela was a talented and creative artisan. She loved challenges and took up new activities such as fencing and snooker.

We all love and miss you.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • If you’re lucky, once in a lifetime you will get to meet an authentic, kind, thoughtful human that restores your faith in humanity, Pam was that person to me. I admired her presence, her public speaking skills and her ability to capture a room. She was an animal lover, a self proclaimed “bird nerd” and an amazing multidisciplinary artist. She was my friend and I will miss her presence in my life. My condolences to her family. - Posted by: Darlene O'Reilly (Friend) on: Jul 15, 2026

  • I met Pam during our days at University as we were training to become nurses. It was an intense time and we got to know each other very well. I can tell you she was smart, capable and dedicated to not only her profession, but the people in her life as well. Pam had a great sense of humour. I can recall when Pam became a mom, and the arrival of Keith, whom she adored. My condolences go out to your entire family. May you be comforted by the memories that you have and the love you shared. - Posted by: Cheryl Swanson (Stanier) (Friend) on: Jul 11, 2026
