With great sadness, we announce the passing of our mom, Barbara Gareau.
Barb will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Tracy (Chris), Shannon (Dan), and Kimberley (Kevin); her stepdaughter, Shauntelle; and her cherished grandchildren, Genevieve, Danielle, Tyler, Carter, and Charlsey. She will also be missed by her brother, many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Barb’s kindness, humour, and unwavering love for her family will remain with all who knew her. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives she touched.
A celebration of Barb’s life will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Those who wish may sign the online guest book through Chapel Lawn.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you mourn the loss of Barb. Unfortunately, with being in different provinces the last time I saw Barb was at Aunty Helens funeral. So many memories come to mind as I read this obituary. Barb lived her life to the fullest. She loved her family and friends. Cherish the memories. Gone but never forgotten.
