MELVIN SWEREDA
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Melvin. He fought a long and courageous battle against cancer and is now home with the Lord.
Mel passed away on July 8, 2026, at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 91.
A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with public visitation at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Ave.
Interment at All Saints Cemetery, 4535 Main St., Winnipeg.
Please join us for lunch at the church, after interment.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., or Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Ave.

My condolences to Anne and all family and friends. It’s been many years Anne, but you trained me to take over for you at Melet Plastics. I also remember you and Mel from when we played crib at the Legion on Selkirk and McGregor.
