JOHN HIEBERT
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Hiebert on July 14, 2026 at the age of 97 years.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty), and daughter-in-law, Valerie. He is survived by his children, Ken (Margot), Diane (Dale), and Barry; his grandchildren, Krista, Candice, Chelsey, Deanna, Maggie (Sawyer), Sam, and Matt; and his great-grandchildren, Tyson and Oliver.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. at Grace Bible Church, 366 Oakwood Avenue, Winnipeg.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Uncle John. I have fond memories of visiting Uncle John and Aunt Betty with my dad (nephew), Ray Dyck. I always enjoyed his sense of humour. In particular, I recall a day when Uncle John spotted me at a grocery store near their home off Grant Avenue in Winnipeg. My husband and I lived not too far away in our first home. He walked over and, with a joking smile on his face, instructed me to stop poking all of the bread! I’ve always appreciated that chance meeting and have recalled the brief visit with a smile many times as I drive by the store.
