Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELEANORE LORRAINE KELLY
Eleanore was predeceased by her husband, Murray Kelly; her parents, Margaret and Steve; and her sisters, Blanche and Dorothy.
She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Linda, Diana, Brenda (Mark), and Marie (Kevin); her sister, Roberta; her brothers, Wayne and Steven; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Born in Winnipeg in 1934, Eleanore began her career at Eaton’s downtown store. While working there, she met and married Murray, who was serving in the Canadian Air Force. During his military career, they were posted to Europe, living in France, Belgium, and Germany, before returning to Canada with postings in Rivers, Manitoba and later Winnipeg.
Eleanore enjoyed dancing, bowling and spending time with family and friends. Above all, she loved her four daughters and devoted herself to raising them. Once her children reached middle school, she returned to Eaton’s, working in the mail order department until her retirement.
Camping was one of Eleanore’s greatest passions, and she was delighted in sharing that love with her family. Together they explored much of Canada and the northern United States, creating countless treasured memories along the way.
After Murray’s passing, Eleanore lived with her daughter Diana, then with her sister Roberta, and later with her daughter Linda, where she remained until her passing. Over the past three years, Linda and Diana took her on many outings and excursions that brought her great joy and created lasting memories for them all.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at Grace Hospital for their compassionate care and kindness.
In keeping with Eleanore’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.
