Czeslawa (Charlotte) Pilozow passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at the age of 92. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, Charlotte was known for her resilience, generosity, and deep love for her family.
Born in Polska Wola, Poland, in 1933, Charlotte survived exile to Siberia during the Second World War and later journeyed through Uzbekistan, Persia, Kenya, and Tanzania before settling in Tengeru. After the war, she lived in England and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1949, where she met her beloved husband, Henry.
Charlotte expressed her love through cooking, gardening, and preserving Polish traditions. She was active in the Sokol Choir and Folk Ensemble, the Polish Seniors’ Club, and the Polish Pavilion at Folklorama, and was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Church.
She is lovingly remembered by her son Jerry (Dusanka); grandchildren, Warren, Michelle (John), Stephanie (Kevin), and Lindsay (Wes); great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Cooper, and Casey; her brother Kasmir (Odette). She was predeceased by her husband Henry, her son Ted, daughter-in-law Eleanor, and many beloved family members.
Prayers will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 at Holy Ghost Church at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Holy Ghost Cemetery.
