With deep sadness, the family announces the peaceful passing of Sharon Cave at Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the age of 75.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Rose (née Delorme); her brothers, Bert and Maurice; and her cherished pet companion, Bo. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Stan Shalagan; her brother, Gerald (Cheryl); her supportive family; and many dear friends. Sharon faced many health challenges beginning at age 28, yet she remained deeply caring and concerned for the well-being of others.
Her kindness touched those around her, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family sincerely thanks the doctors, nurses, and staff of 5G at Health Sciences Centre for their compassion and excellent care. The family also thanks Central Dialysis Unit B Side at HSC and Dr. Michael Harrington at the Mood Disorder Program at HSC.
In keeping with Sharon’s wishes, no formal service will be held. Those wishing to pay their respects may attend a viewing at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street, Winnipeg, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Cremation will follow.
Donations in Sharon’s honour may be made to a charity of your choice.
