ABE DUECK On November 5, 1999 at Concordia Hospital, Abe Dueck of Winnipeg, died at the age of 78 years. Abe was born February 27, 1921 in Karasan, Crimea, Russia to Abraham and Maria Dueck (nee Wohlgemut). In 1948 the family immigrated to Winnipeg, where on June 5, 1949 he, upon his faith, was baptised and accepted into the North Kildonan Mennonite Church. He was predeceased by his father in 1948, and his mother in 1965; two siblings at infancy; brother Isaak, sister Katherine, brother John and brother-in-law Nicholai Szkarupa. He is mourned by sister Mary, sister Elizabeth, brother Peter with wife Tamara and sister-in-law Lilia Dick; seventeen nephews and nieces and their respective spouses, children and grandchildren. He will also be missed by his friends. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 9 at 1:00 p.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Church, Cheriton and Roch with interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
