ROBERT (BOB) RICHARD FLUKER On November 6, 1999, with his family by his side, Bob Fluker, beloved husband of Louise, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital after a brief illness. Besides his wife of 57 years, he is survived by his children, Marilyn (Ron) Cartwright, Sandra (Oliver) Richard, Robert Fluker (deceased), Douglas (Nancy) Fluker and Linda (Neil) Nobiss; nine grandchildren and two great-grandsons. Bob served in the RCAF from 1941 to 1945 where he met his wife Louise and later went on to be employed by Harvey Woods Co. as a commercial traveller retiring early at the age of 62 years. Rather than relaxing he became more involved with the Shrine and on the Directors Staff, was over the years responsible for obtaining the toys and novelty items for the Shrine Circus. When he and Louise moved from their home on Elm Park Road Bob had to part with his loyal companion "Benji" who was a great source of enjoyment. Moving to Osborne on the Red, he became involved in the daily affairs of management of this condo. Bob loved golfing with his loyal buddies, and took great joy as Santa Claus every year to children of all ages. Bob spoke and listened to all and will be sadly missed by everyone. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 10 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Bernadette Parish Centre, 820 Cottonwood, Winnipeg, MB with Padre Stan Millar officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Bobs memory to the Shriners Burn Injuries, 529 Wellington Crescent, Winnipeg, MB.
