Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY MAE GREEN (nee BROWN) Peacefully on December 4, 1999 at the Meadowood Manor, Dorothy Mae Green, beloved wife of the late Frederick William Green, passed away at the age of 88 years. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband in 1954; her sister Louise Brown; brothers, Jack and Garnet (Marjorie) Brown; brother-in-law Sam Rumble. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Garry William Green; her sisters, Gladys (Walter) Dick, Marjorie Rumble, Ruby (Bill) Bueckert and sister-in-law Mildred Brown; numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was born September 1, 1911 in Manitou, Manitoba and was raised there in her younger life. She graduated from St. Boniface School of Nursing in 1933 with a degree of R.N. She married Frederick Green on September 18, 1939. She was employed after her graduation with many facilities including Minaki Lodge, Municipal hospitals of Winnipeg, the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg where she was the matron (Head of Nursing), Manitoba Rehab Hospital, and retired in the mid 1970s. After her retirement she resided in St. Vital. Viewing will be held between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 8 at Kerrs Funeral Chapel, 120 Adelaide Street. Funeral service will also be held at the chapel at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 9. Interment to follow at St. Vital Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Dorothy to the Meadowood Manor. KERRS FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements. Ph. 943-6688.
