STEPHEN (STEVE) LUCKO Mr. Steve Lucko, beloved husband of Tina of Hazelridge, Manitoba passed away at the Beausejour District Hospital, on Saturday, December 11, 1999. Steve was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Mari Lucko; sister Mary Ilchyna and by his brothers, Frank, Joseph, Michael and Peter. He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 52 years, Tina; children, Connie (Bob) Taylor, Chris (Bill) Patterson and Tim (Susan) Lucko; his grandchildren, Krista Taylor, Lori (Jeff) Sobetski, Tanya (Keith) Ballegeer, Jennifer Patterson, Kyle and Nicholas Lucko. Steve was born on August 29, 1918 in Sapton, Man. He served in Europe during the Second World War with the Royal Canadian Army for four and a half years. Returning from the war, Steve farmed in the Sapton area. Upon his retirement he worked briefly with the Corps of Commissionaires. Steve and Tina enjoyed travelling and together spent 13 great years wintering in Weslaco, Texas. His great joys in life were fishing and especially spending time with his grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of the Beausejour District Hospital for the care he received in the past weeks and the compassion they showed at the time of his passing. The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 15 at 10:30 a.m. from Green Acres Funeral Chapel (Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road). Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
