BENJAMIN E. GREEN It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and friend, Benjamin E. Green, 88 years old. Ben left us peacefully on Tuesday, December 14, 1999 at Deer Lodge Centre. Predeceased by his wife Tina (nee Harris) the memory of Ben will be cherished by his son Eric; daughter-in-law Catherine and granddaughter Ruby. Predeceased by sisters, Nell Hallis, Francis Markson, brothers, Silas Greenberg and Sam Greenberg. Will be sadly missed by brother Martin Greenberg and sisters, Reva Aronovitch and Bernice Olin. Ben grew up in the North end surrounded by a large and loving family. He served overseas in the airforce in the Second World War where he met his wife Tina. They returned to Winnipeg and had a good life with love, family, friendships and happiness. Ben worked 40 plus years with Trans America Life and was still serving his clients until recently entering hospital. He loved his work and donated time and energy to numerous organizations. His passion was sports and he never missed a game. His unique sense of humour will be missed. The family expresses special thanks to the doctors and nurses of 2 West Deer Lodge Centre for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family may be made to Deer Lodge Centre or a charity of your choice. Graveside funeral will be held Thursday, December 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery, Gate 3, 230 Armstrong at Main Street, West Kildonan.
