WILFRED FLOCKTON 1908-1999 Wilfred Flockton passed away with his daughter at his side on December 15, 1999 in Meadowood Manor. Wilfred was born November 25,1908 in Castleford, Yorkshire, England. His parents were Sam Flockton and Dora (Ramsden) Flockton. At the age of two he moved to Winnipeg with his family and lived in the St. Vital area all his life. He joined the Hudsons Bay Company in 1926 and worked as a salesman in the boys clothing for many years. Wilfred retired in 1972, taking early retirement to help care for his wife Hilda who predeceased him in August 1986. Wilfred is survived by his daughter Joann and her husband Alfred Kuhnle; sister Ida Ziemski; sister-in-law Berna Colpitts, sister-in-law Betty Becher of Phoenix Arizona; grandchildren, Gregg (Lori) Kuhnle, Jill (Jim) Robinson, Janice (Larry) Martin, Bruce (Marilyn) Kuhnle of Ancaster, Ont.; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family wish to thank the caregivers at Meadowood Manor and the former home care workers for their compassionate care and patience. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 20 on the 10th floor of Meadowood Manor, 575 St. Annes Rd., with the Rev. E. Hamm officiating. Following the reception, interment will take place in St. Vital Cemetery.
