ROBERT DAVID FAST October 5, 1941 - December 23, 1999 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father and grandfather Bob, at the age of 58, on December 23, 1999 at the Grace Hospital. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, So He closed His arms around you And whispered, " Come to Me." You didnt deserve what you went through, So He gave you rest, Gods garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. And when we saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain, We could not wish you back, To suffer that again. We all love you. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 37 years, Janet; his children, Debbie and Ray, Mike, Chris and Cara, Heather and Richard; grandchildren, Trevin, Tailer, Teagan, Brighton and Zachary; his mother-in-law Eileen; his sister Sandra and family, as well as many friends and relatives. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 28 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave., with Rev. Don McIntyre officiating. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Bobs memory to the Manitoba Cancer Society, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9, or to a charity of your choice.
