Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET STERDAN (PROSKIW) Peacefully, on February 15, 2000, surrounded by her family, Margaret Sterdan passed away at Riverview Health Centre at age 77 years. She is survived by Emil, her loving husband of 53 years. Margarets memory will be cherished by her sons, Grant (Anne) and Michael (Cathy) grandchildren, Julie (Eddie) Popke, Tracy and Mark; brother Alex Proskiw, sister Lena Triethart (of Minneapolis) brother-in-law Anthony Stachiw (of Ottawa) and sister-in-law Anne Sterdan. Margaret was born, educated and lived her entire life in Winnipeg. She was a devoted member of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral and was an active member of the Ladies League, an activity she very much enjoyed. Her family, and in particular her grandchildren, brought much happiness to her life and provided her with many fond memories and stories to tell. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Vivian, Dr. Thorlakson, Dr. Maxwell, Dr. Hershberg, Dr. Marr, the Victorian Order of Nurses and staff of the Victoria Hospital Oncology Dept. and Riverview Health Centre, for their kind and compassionate care in helping Margaret live to the fullest while coping with her cancer. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Ave., with Rev. Fr. M. Kouts officiating. Private interment. If friends desire, donations can be made to Victoria Hospital Oncology Dept., Riverview Health Centre or the charity of choice. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
