CHARLES W. FIERCE Peacefully at home with his wife at his side, Charles William Fierce passed away April 3, 2000 at the age of 77 years. Charlie was predeceased by his parents; Raymond and Minnie; brothers and sisters Robert, Eva, John, and Leo; and his grandson Garth. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Mildred, of 48 years, daughters and sons-in-law Lindsay and Mark Olson, Patricia Hooey and fiance Glenn Barill, Kathleen and Craig Doering; grandchildren Gavin, Gwenda and Garet Olson, Lisa, Michael and Daryl Hooey, Brendon and Brittany Doering. He is also survived by his brother and sisters Jim (Joyce), Ginger, Opal and Helen (Ken) numerous nieces and nephews and faithful friend Babe. Charlie attended Cecil Rhodes School and Daniel McIntyre Collegiate. During the war time he worked for Number 7 Depot in Winnipeg. He then went to work for the Federal Government and retired from the Unemployment Insurance Commission after many years of service. Although Polio ruled his life for 72 years, he never let it get in the way of leading a full family life. He was always there for his family. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers as your spirit soars like a bird, wings spread wide in flight, towards the heavens. "We Love You" In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Visitation will be held Friday April 7, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday April 8 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre.
