RICHARD JOHN FEHR On April 17, 2000, at the age of 36, Richard John Fehr passed on. He will always be remembered by his family as the "Champion of Champions" in his courageous battle with cancer. He will always and forever be in our hearts. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Valerie (Kasprick) his beautiful children, Amy and Cameron. Parents, John and Marlene; brother, Ronald (Laura), Rodney and Tyler; sister Carla Braden (Brian), David and Breanne; sister Kathy Palmer (Garry), Chris and Brad. While attending high school in Neepawa, Richard met and fell in love with Valerie. After graduating in 1981, Richard moved to Brandon where he began his career with the T. Eaton Company. He followed the love of his life to Winnipeg, where he continued his career with Eatons. Richard and Valerie were married September 8, 1984 and their commitment and love grew with the birth of their children, Amy (1990) and Cameron (1983). In 1997 Richard left his career with Eatons to fulfill his dream of operating a family business. Throughout his life Richard enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, camping and bike riding with his family. With his many friends and family, Richard shared his enthusiasm for hockey, his love of music and nights around the bonfire. Thank you to Dr. P. Harris and support staff at Grace Hospital, Dr. M. Rubinger, and especially to the nurses of GD6 Wing at Health Sciences Centre for the tender care they gave to Richard. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Richard to CancerCare Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A gathering will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre.
