SHAU PING PANG (nee CHAN) Peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at the Golden Links Lodge, Shau Ping Chan passed away at the age of 81 years. She leaves to mourn her children, Wing Nga (Tse Lum), Ho Kee (Nung), Peter (Stella), Raymond (Sandra) and Lawrence (Betty). She was blessed with ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, as well as brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Shau Ping was born in Canton, China in 1919. She immigrated to Canada in 1976 and spent her remaining years here. She enjoyed daily morning walks, Tai Chi, knitting, reading and cooking. Most of all she liked playing mah-jong with her friends and family. Over the past years she travelled to China, U.S.A. and various parts of Canada. A memorial service will be held followed by a reception at Golden Links Lodge, 2280 St. Marys Rd. on Monday, May 15 at 2:00 p.m. Our family would like to extend our utmost thanks to loving family friends, Tina, Robert, Anna and Edmund; and the staff at Golden Links Lodge for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Shau Ping Chan may be made to the Golden Links Lodge, 2280 St. Marys Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 4A5.
