RUTH PETLIKAU After a courageous battle with cancer, Ruth Petlikau, aged 63 years, peacefully passed away at her home in West St. Paul, May 7, 2000. Predeceased by her husband Alexander in 1999, Ruth is survived by her son Juergen (Valerie) brother Hans (Ulla) Strichau of Germany; grandchildren, Jessica, Ian and Alexis; great-grandson Nicholi; several nieces and nephews. Ruth was born in Detmold, Germany in 1936. She moved to Canada with her husband in 1965. In her life she enjoyed being with friends and family, and taking great pride in her home and gardens. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 10 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 65 Walnut St. Interment Garden of Prayer, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. The family would like to thank Dr. Bowman, Pat Gray and staff of CancerCare Manitoba for their kindness and support.
