Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTERRANCE ROBERT (TERRY) HACKENSCHMIDT On May 23, 2000 after a long battle with AIDS, at the age of 32, Terrance Robert Hackenschmidt (Terry) passed away at Riverview Health Centre. Terry is survived by his parents, Richard and Eileen; sisters Colleen, Katherenna, Johanna and Leona; his brothers Corrie, and Gerald along with many nieces and nephews. Terry worked for different hospitality outlets in Brandon and Winnipeg. He was one of the quickest to earn five silver leaves at Eatons Dinning Room for great customer relations in Winnipegs main store. Terry volunteered for over five years at different A.S.O.s such as Kali Shiva, OSCM Village Clinic, Artemis Housing Co-Op and AIDS Saskatoon. He also sat on several national committees for the Canadian AIDS Society. Terry reached management positions for several retail companies. He also worked closely with several of the alternative bars throughout the country. Terry enjoyed curling as a youth and won different ribbons and trophies in school. Terry also enjoyed travelling to different places. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the nurses and staff on 3E at Riverview Health Centre for the compassionate care shown to Terry. In lieu of flowers, a memory may be sent in Terrys name to Riverview Health Centre, 3 East - 1 Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 2P4. A funeral service for Terry will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 815 Inkster at 2:00 p.m. on Monday May 29, 2000.
