Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWENZEL LEV After a brief illness, Wenzel Lev age 78 years, beloved husband of Monica passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on Monday, July 10, 2000. Wenzel was born on February 12, 1922 in St. Boniface, Man. He spent his early school years at the Immaculate Conception Parochial School, later Holy Ghost High School and St. Pauls College. During the Second World War he served overseas in England where he met his wife Monica. In 1946 he left the army with the rank of Sergeant. He worked at Family Fair for awhile and then was employed with the C.P.R. retiring in 1982. One of his loves was baseball and he kept all the records of all the teams and players for a few years in the 1950s. He also coached the St. Joseph School team in the Catholic Schools League. He later moved to the Kiwanis Chateau where he made many wonderful friends. Besides his beloved wife Monica of 54 years, he will be dearly missed by his children, Richard, Paul (Sandra), Veronica Roscoe husband Mike; grandchildren, Tracey husband Manuel Jarrin, Christine and Brandie Lev, Allana and Melissa Roscoe; great-grandchildren, Samuel and Zoe Jarrin. He was the only son of Joseph and Anna Lev, whom he was predeceased by his mother Anna when he was ten years old; father in 1967 and his stepmother Elizabeth Lev in 1972. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 14 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary Cathedral, 353 St. Mary Ave. Rev. Fr. D. Gurr presiding. Interment St. Marys Cemetery. Sincere thanks to the Doctors and nurses at St. Boniface Hospital for all their care. Special thanks to Sister Cathy, Fr. D. Gurr for making his last days easier.
