LENORE TAYLOR On Friday, September 29, 2000 Lenore Taylor passed away at Beacon Hill Villa in Victoria, BC. Predeceased by son Don in 1967, daughter Marion in 1974 and husband George in 1995, she will be sadly missed by daughter Lois Taylor of North Vancouver, foster daughter Mary Young of Winnipeg, and extended family members in BC and Manitoba. Educated at University of Toronto, United College and University of Manitoba, Lenore worked as a social worker with the Vaughan Street Detention Centre (later the Juvenile Reception Centre on Kenaston Blvd.) until her retirement as Director of Intake. Many friends and family will remember visiting at the Taylors home on Elm Street and the family cottage at Gull Lake. A voracious reader, Lenore was known for her sharp intellect and quick wit. There will be no service at Lenores request. Donations in her name can be made to the charity of your choice or the George Taylor Scholarship Fund at the University of Winnipeg.
